Parthenogenetic (unisexual) taxon with hybrid origin: parental taxa are D. portschinskii (paternal lineage) and D. raddei (maternal lineage) (Murphy et al., 2000). Habitats and range strongly overlap with those of D. portschinskii, althouth D. dahli is found on the elevations usually above 500 m a.s.l.
Distribution: Traleti Mountains in Georgia and associated mountains in N Armenia
