Monomorphic species. In the past, the name was used for a wide-spread transmediterranean taxon, although recently the Mauremis from the western Mediterranean area is usually mentioned as a separate species.

Distribution: SE Georgia (south and east of Tbilisi, in the basins of Mtkvari and Iori)
